PURPOSE:To obtain a tomographic image of high quality with good resolution even though the photographed parts include different dimensions-for example, head and breast or belly. CONSTITUTION:A radial type tomographic device as per invention includes a frame 1 installed upright on the floor, a dougfnut-shaped disc 2 supported on the frame l rotatably round the body axis of a person to undergo inspection who is lying facing aside, and a rectangular sensing surface 3a right confronting the body axis of the person. The device is further equipped with three or more sensors 3, which are installed radially on the disc 2 as equally divided and sense the radiations emitted from inside the body of person, and a driving means to approach and retreat the sensors 3 to/from the body axis of person. A shaft protruding perpendicularly at the sensing surface 3a and a trunnion 7 supporting rotatably each sensor 3 round this shaft are furnished in the center of the sensor back to provide possibility for longer edges or shorter edges of each rectangular sensing surface to form view field for tomography in accordance with the photographed part of person.
