X=ray diagnostic system with filter circuit to suppress noise - uses amplitude detector circuit to generate control for adjusting corner frequency of filter circuit

The emission from the X-ray tube is directed onto the patient and received by an amplifier with a TV camera transmitting to a monitor via a processing circuit under the control of a central unit. The processing circuit converts the analogue input (5) to digital form (9) with the output multiplied (10) and fed to an adder (11) coupled to an image memory (12). The memory to feedback is coupled via a second multiplier (13) to the adder stage. The multiplier also receives an input from a look-up table (17) that acts as an amplitude detector and is accessed by a circuit coupled to the input. The amplitude controls the corner frequency of the filter circuit (10-13). ADVANTAGE - Reduces adverse effect of noise upon output.
