摘要 PURPOSE:To find out a missing signal in an early stage and to process it at a high speed by returning a reply signal every time a control signal passes through a relay line while keeping an expiration time of a timer constant and setting a connection path. CONSTITUTION:A connection path between plural exchanges NS1-NS3 and an exchange NMS with a management function is set every time a control signal sent/received between the exchanges passes through a relay line. Then a time T2 is set larger than a time 6 required for the round transmission of the signal in maximum relay stage numbers NMS-NS3 in the communication network with respect to a management device and a time T3 is set larger than a time 2 required for the round transmission of the signal between adjacent exchanges. Then a management bus is established from the exchange NS1 to the management device NMS at times 1-2. Since a reply signal is returned every time the control signal passes through the management bus, the network is used for a time T3 whose expiration time is smaller than the time T2. Since the processing is executed while keeping the expiration time constant, a missing signal is found out in an early stage and at a high speed.
