PURPOSE:To detect a relative angle of both shield machines by inserting a radiation source into an eccentric position of a boring pipe projected from one shield machine to the other shield machine to rotate, and measuring it into the other shield machine. CONSTITUTION:One radiation source 2 is rotatably inserted into the front end of a boring pipe C of one shield machine so that it is brought into contact with a bulk-head 1. After that, eccentricity is made by an eccentric amount 1 from the center line to form one linear source hole 4 on a shielding body 3 of the radiation source 2, and a gamma ray sealing linear source 5 is provided thereinto. Then, a scintillation detector is provided to the inside of the bulkhead 1 of the shield machine B, and an indicator 6 and a personal computer are connected to the counter thereof. The boring pipe C is rotated to measure strength of a pair of peaks of the radiation and a space, etc., in the other shield machine B. According to the constitution, an angle in the case of underground connection of the shields can be detected. |
