<p>PURPOSE:To prevent forming of a loop by an erroneous loopback command after one loopback is formed with respect to the loopback control method in which a couple of repeaters provided on a couple of lines form a loopback in response to a command for retrieving a fault location. CONSTITUTION:In the transmission system in which plural repeater pairs 10, 11 each comprising a couple of repeaters forming a loopback in response to a command are arranged to a couple of lines 3, 4 at a prescribed interval, after one repeater pair 11 form a loopback in response to a loopback forming command from the lines 3, 4, a loopback inhibit signal is sent to the lines 3, 4 to inhibit the forming of loopback by a loopback forming command from the other repeater pair 10.</p> |
