<p>PURPOSE:To control continuously rotating phase between a valve system cam shaft and crank shaft with simple construction, in the valve system of an internal combustion engine which is provided with an operating mechanism having a piston capable of controlling the rotating phase between the valve system cam shaft and the crank shaft according to its moving position in an axial direction and facing its one end surface in the axial direction to an oil pressure chamber, while being energized by a spring to the side where the volume of the oil pressure chamber is reduced and provided with an oil pressure control valve for controlling oil pressure in the oil pressure chamber. CONSTITUTION:An oil pressure control valve 14 is formed in such constitution that the force of a spring 49 directed toward an oiling position is acted on one end of a spool 41 fitted slidably in a housing 40, and the other end side of the spool 41 is so arranged that a back pressure chamber 51 communicating to an output port 44 can exhibit its oil pressure force toward an opening position, and an actuator 42 for exhibiting thrust according to an input electric amount regardless of an operating position is interlocked and connected to either side in the axial direction, of the spool 41.</p> |
