The invention relates to a control process and a control device for a crane, which process and which device are used, for example, in the controlling of a bridge crane, and which process comprises the use of desired control sequences to control a crane, which control function emanates from the control system of the crane, and in which process the control system is given control data for the influence of a load present in the crane, or of an increased load, upon the centre of gravity for the total load hanging from the crane, and control data are subsequently taken concerning the altered centre of gravity in consideration of the formation of the control sequences of the control system. <IMAGE>
