PURPOSE:To carry out non contact developing with more fidelity utilizing non magnetic developer by improving the developing characteristic with a comparatively simple construction in a color copying machine or a printer, etc. CONSTITUTION:The amplitude of AC current component Vac of developing bias impressed at the time of developing between a photosensitive drum where a desired latent image is formed and a developing sleeve, installed facing the before mentioned photosensitive drum and carrying and conveying the developer which develops the before mentioned latent image, is slowly varied over a period of time. Therefore, the developing characteristic is made to be inclined in a comparatively gentle manner, and since deformation of the developing characteristic, etc., is eliminated, the non contact developing with a simple construction utilizing the non magnetic developer is carried out with more fidelity, and the image with fidelity can be constantly obtained. |
