The method is to display boldface letter on a LCD of an electronic typewriter. The method comprises the steps: (A) discriminating that input letter is a Korean, English, or Numeric character; (B) overlapping the first, the middle and the final consonant respectively for Korean letter to synthesize boldface letter; (C) overlapping font data and input data to form a boldface letter for the numeric and the English letter; and (D) displaying input letter through normal displaying method for the nonboldface letter.
