The gun sight for a sporting gun is adjusted by means of a rotatable knob (10) which can be held in any one of a number of different positions by means of two spring-loaded ball catches (16,18). The balls are mounted in holes in the fixed base of the gun sight and engage slots (14) in the flange (12) of a central bush (24). The slots (14) are equally spaced around the periphery of the flange and the balls (16,18) are positioned so that when one ball (18) engages a slot the other ball (16) is positioned between two slots and vice versa. The number of possible positions of the knob is thus equal to twice the number of slots (14). USE/ADVANTAGE -Gun sight with fine adjustment.
