Asynchronous machine parameters identification - using computer model which derives modelling parameter from measured stator current, voltage and revolution rate to provide input to estimation process

The method involves using a computer model to derive a modelling parameter from the measured stator current, stator voltage and revolution rate. Machine parameters ae determined and the rotor time constant is modified and the fed back into the computer model. The components of the stator voltage, stator current and model parameter lying on an axis of a reference coordinate system are mathematically pe-processed to produce inputs to a parameter estimation process with input value time weighting. The variation with time of one or more estimated parameters is used to derive a decision criterion which controls the rotor time constant modification. USE/ADVANTAGE - Method ensures optimal performance of control algorith under conditions of varying asynchronous machine parameters and irrespective of working point.
