The system uses short electromagnetic pulses of constant duration, with modulation of the pauses between the successive pulses, in dependence on the information to be transmitted. The modulated pulse pause signals are provided in alternation for information transmission along one channel and then the other. Pref. the electromagnetic pulses are in the IR wavelength range and are used for stereo information signals transmitted between a source and cordless headphones. ADVANTAGE - Eliminates magnetic stray field effects.
