<p>PURPOSE:To surely feed sheet materials from a sheet feed cassette by properly adjusting the pressing force when many sheet materials are stacked on the sheet feed cassette. CONSTITUTION:A feed roller 37 is arranged on a sheet material feeder 30, and cam grooves 45b are formed toward the inside on both the right and left sides. A sheet feed cassette 50 has a middle plate 56 stacked with sheet materials P and rotated centering a rear side section 56a. The tare weight of a lever 69 coupled with the tips of the sheet material P is set to 20g+ or -6g. When the cassette 50 is fitted to the feeder 30, a pressing shaft 61 is coupled with the cam groove sections 45b and moved, and the pressing levers 59, 60 are rotated centering on support shafts 59a, 60a via tension coil springs 63, 65. Horizontal arms 59b, 60b are lifted, and the tip section of the middle plate 56 is pressed in the lifting direction. The shorter horizontal arm 60b is separated from the middle plate 56 earlier as the middle plate 56 is lifted, thus no further pressing force is transferred. The adjusting range of the pressing force by the pressing levers 59, 60 can be made large.</p> |
