<p>A waveguide coupler (11) is disclosed, in which the coupling of power from one waveguide arm (13) to an adjacent waveguide arm (17) through an aperture (27) in a common wall (15) may be switched on and off at very high speed or controlled from zero to a maximum level. This is achieved by appropriately controlling how a bias potential is applied to a reflective/absorptive element (29) disposed in the aperture (27) in the common wall (15). <IMAGE></p> |
