PURPOSE: To expose a hue near an SWOP standard by representing one or more of yellow dye by a specific chemical formula in a yellow dye mixture for a thermal color transfer having a dye layer involving a mixture of the yellow dye dispersed in a polymer binding material. CONSTITUTION: In a yellow dye donor element for thermal dye transfer having a dye layer containing a mixture of a yellow dye dispersed in a polymer binding material, one or more of the yellow dye is represented by a chemical formula I. One or more of the other dye is represented by a chemical formula II. In the formulae, R<1> is a hydrogen or halogen, R<2> is a hydroxy, alkoxy, aryloxy, acyloxy or the like, Y is an H or OH, R<3> , R<4> are each substituted or unsubstituted 1-6C alkyl, 5-7C cycloalkyl, substituted or unsubstituted allyl, 6-10C aryl, or the like, and R<6> is an atomic group described in a part of the R<3> . |
