PURPOSE:To inspect a LED head in a condition akin to a prototype by inspecting the failure of a luminous light quantity with the emission of LEO elements inspected individually, and also examining the balance of the luminous light quantities of LED elements. CONSTITUTION:LED elements in individual chips of a LED head 4 are head- controlled 3, and voltage value data of individual luminous light quantities sensed with a light sensor 7, are inputted in a measurement circuit 8 to be outputted to a computer 2. In the computer 2, when luminous light quantities of individual LED elements every chips are out of the range of a standard value even in datum, the head 4 is judged as failure. A light quantity balance between chips also LED elements is inspected in the case of no failure. That is, the total light quantity data, sensed with the sensor 7 with all LED elements in the chips emitted, are smoothed and averaged with the circuit 8 to be outputted to the computer 2. In the computer 2, failure is judged with a CPU when a light quantity balance, in which a difference between the maximum and the minimum values of the light quantity is shown by percentage, has a given value or more. |
