<p>PURPOSE:To obtain relative velocities between one's own vehicle and a plurality of contrastive objects by a method wherein data on the contrastive objects is operated at each reflected signal within a definite sampling time and the data on the contrastive objects is labeled. CONSTITUTION:Each time a reflected signal is received by means of a transmission- reception part 7 within a definite sampling time, a distance computation means 15 computes the distance to a contrastive object 17 on the basis of the time which has elapsed since the time when a pulse signal has been transmitted; a label storage means 16 puts a label on it individually, and stores it in a memory. Consequently, while the distances between one's own vehicle and a plurality of contrastive objects are being measured individually, it can be operated. In addition, at a judgment device 2, data on the contrastive objects which has been estimated in the past is compared with data on the contrastive objects which has been obtained newly. Whether the same contrastive object exists or not is judged at each label. A distance change amount is found after the data on the contrastive objects which has been judged to be the same has been compared with the previous data and the present data. The change amount is divided by the transmission cycle of a pulse signal, and a relative velocity is obtained.</p> |
