PROCESS FOR CLEANING AND SURFACE PROCESSING OF UNCLEANED GOODS

Described is a process for biologically decontaminating contaminated materials in a closed circuit by means of microorganisms. The contaminated material is passed into a treatment zone, moistened and treated with microorganisms which will remove the contamination. The waste water arising is collected and used again to moisten fresh contaminated material. In order to accelerate the decomposition of the contaminants, simplify the utilization of the microorganisms used to decompose the contaminants and reduce the cost of using these microorganisms, activated substances in the form of activated sludge are added to the treatment zone. The process is further accelerated and intensified by previously adapting the activated sludge for the decontamination in a bioreactor.
