PURPOSE:To obtain high print quality by realizing proper curve expansion when a character font having a featuring curved part is generated by an outline font system. CONSTITUTION:An (n)th-order curve generation part 3 generates (n)th-order curve function data for constituting the outline of a character according to vector data in straight-line data form corresponding to the character and curve data corresponding to the curve part of the character. A dot pattern expansion process part 4 expands a dot pattern corresponding to the straight-line part and curve parts of the character according to the (n)th-order curve function data. |
