PURPOSE:To decrease the correction burden on a user by performing the data shaping of the name card data with the content set beforehand for every item prior to the data correction of the user. CONSTITUTION:A scanner 1 reads a name card and name card image data are obtained. A name card recognizing part 2 performs the character recognition of the name card image data and the item decision of a company name, a name, etc., the name card data of the form in which the character data are segmented for every item are made and stored into a name card data storing part 3. On the other hand, a shaping definition storing part 4 stores the shaping definition to set beforehand the shaping content (for example, shape 'corporation' to (Co).) for every item. A data shaping means 5 shapes the data based on the shaping definition, makes the shaped data and stores them into a shaped data storing part 6, concerning name card data 3. A user confirming correcting means 7 confirms and corrects, for the shaped data with a CRT keyboard, whether or not there is the error of the character recognition any more. |
