The clamping elements are forme from tong halves (20, 21), which, for large surface holding from respective clamping surfaces with the negative shape of a corresp. section of the plug connection outline. The tong halves (20, 21), at least at the clamping surfaces, have hardened mouldings of the section of the plug connection outline. Both tong halves are respectively operated by an actuator. One of the tong halves is arranged stationary and the other tong half is operated by an actuator. ADVANTAGE - Type system which is simple to produce, but gives reliable protective holding and testing of electrical sample esp. cable plugs and sockets parts of cable harnesses.
