<p>PURPOSE:To provide a screen message editing system capable of reducing the storage area for storing screen data. CONSTITUTION:Elements such as word and idiom are stored for each type of length in an element storage means 1 composed of a first, a second and a third element storage parts 5 to 7, information for each element type indicating the type of the element storage parts as well as offset information indicating the position of the element in the element storage part are stored for each line of a message in an element search means 2, a pointer indicating a first stored position of each line of element as well as the information of the number of elements from the first stored position are stored for each line of the message in a screen construction means 3, the information to be displayed on the screen is stored in an output buffer 4, and when a message displaying request occurs, the element search means 2 is searched for based on the information of the screen construction means 3, the information extracted from each element storage part corresponding to the information for each element type is arranged on the output buffer 4 and the message is edited.</p> |
