PURPOSE:To ensure transmission to avoid a disconnected place even if a fault such as the breaking of wire, etc., arises in an optical transmission line by making the transmission double-directional in the right and the left (clockwise and counterclockwise) in respect of a U-shaped optical bus network system. CONSTITUTION:In the U-shaped optical bus network in which plural two-ray photocouplers 5 and optical transceivers 3-1 to 3-n are connected to the optical transmission line consisting of a transmitting optical bus 1 and a receiving optical bus 2, it is constituted so that repeater control parts 62a, 62b to detect the fault of the optical transmission line at both the ends of the transmitting optical bus 1 and the receiving optical bus 2, and control the passing of a transmission optical signal into ON or OFF and a repeater switches 61a, 61b controlled into ON or OFF by the repeater control parts 62a, 62b are provided at both the ends of the optical transmission line. |
