The self-adjusting brake control has a self-locking thread (18) to link two components (14,20) and to take up any play in the mechanical linkage. The end of the threaded control (14) is coupled to the end of the cylinder piston via a conical thrust surface with a cup-shaped spring (82) limiting the friction coupling.
