The machine-spool (1) has hubs (3) in which is a cylindrical hole, cone and spool-flanges (2). The end surfaces of the hubs on both sides of the spool are divided into two and have a gearing (4) pointing radially inwards from the outer diameter. The gearing leads into a bridge-piece (5) with a stage (6) leading into the inner diameter (7) which holds the spindle sleeve. The outer ends of the gearing-teeth, which slope at an angle, are rounded. ADVANTAGE - The spool-hubs have end toothing which holds them securely when being driven or braked, especially for automatically feeding wires or cables onto the spool.
