PURPOSE:To improve the cycle characteristic of a paste type cadmium negative electrode for performing chemical conversion treatment. CONSTITUTION:Cadmium oxide as the active material and nickel hydroxide having a mean diameter more than 2.0mu and less than 50mu are kneaded to obtain the paste, and this paste is coated on a conductive core to perform chemical conversion treatment to this electrode plate. The cycle characteristic of a battery is thereby improved remarkably by synergetic effect of an effect of simple chemical conversion treatment of the paste type cadmium battery and an addition effect of nickel hydroxide. |
