PURPOSE:To provide inexpensive constitution and manufacture which require small man-hours and simplify processes while improving the dimension accuracy between and in picture elements of a color filter which is essential for the color liquid crystal display of a TV, a computer, etc. CONSTITUTION:A flux of solid ink in multicolor combination is drawn while heated by a heating means 8, the picture element dimension in section is made extremely fine, and the ink is impressed to a columnar intermediate body 6 which is heated to obtain a multicolor pattern; and the multicolor pattern of the solid ink on this columnar intermediate body 6 is brought into contact with the surface of a transparent substrate 1 in an extremely short time and transferred, a single array is expanded from repetitive lines to a plane, and the solid ink is impressed to obtain the multicolor pattern. A color layer (thickness of transferred solid ink) is controlled to obtain the inexpensive color filter which has small color irregularity and color absence, short man-hours, and good yield. |
