PURPOSE: To provide a transcutaneous stent assembly having a flexible sleeve and preventing entrance of tissue by pressing the wall of a blood vessel. CONSTITUTION: A stent assembly 10 includes a flexible sleeve 13 having openings on both sides. Compressible stents 11, 12 are attached to the sleeve. Each of the stents includes a plurality of columns 14 and forms a series of gaps among the columns. The stents are attached to the sleeve in such a manner that the gaps formed by the stents are substantially covered with the sleeve. The transcutaneous stent assembly 10 can take a first small shape when compressed and a second large shape when able to broaden. The assembly can be transcutaneously passed through the body by the first small shape. The stent assembly having the sleeve can broaden while being embedded and occupies a second large shape, pressing the wall of a blood vessel by means of the flexible sleeve and keeping the blood vessel broadened. |
