COMPOSITION OF CHIPBOARD PANELS

This composition is used in the furniture and building construction industry to obtain timber-sliver slabs. They have a low content of free formaldehyde and improved physical and mechanical parameters. The composition consists of a non-saturated polyester resin, alkalised in advance with ammonium, ammonium bicarbonate and sodium base. The alkalised, non-saturated polyester resin may be used in a mixture with carbamide-formaldehyde resin. The alkalisation is carried out in cool conditions after mixing with standard equipment.
