The present invention relates to a method and apparatus for laying pre-stretched elastic threads (6, 7) or the like in a curved path on a continuously advancing web (1). The invention is characterised in that the elastic threads (6, 7) are guided into a curved pattern on the web, by means of curved grooves or slots (4, 5) provided in a thread-guide roll (3).
