The invention relates to a liquid which has the power of lysing the carious portions of the dentine, which it removes by a chemical action while protecting the remaining healthy dentine and not making use of any cutting instrument. It consists, in particular, of iodine monochloride and potassium monochloride. The product also has the feature of being a potent antiseptic, an invigorating agent for the dental ligaments, a scaler and a bleacher for discoloured teeth.
