The capacitor consists of a metal can containing a dielectric medium and enclosing a central metal core, and has a coaxial output connected to the can and the core, respectively. It is characterised in that the said core (2) consists of a plurality of individual elements (21-26) which are movable on a central axis (4) of the can (1) and is divided into two separate sets of elements, one (2A) connected to the inner conductor (7A) of the coaxial outlet and the other (2B) to the can (1).
