A cylinder head for an internal combustion engine has a plurality of passageways, each comprising two ducts (12, 18), which connect the inlet ports (2) and the exhaust ports (4) for EGR. A valve member (16) in a gallery (14) selectively opens or closes the passageway. The ducts (12, 18) and the valve member (16) are contained entirely within the cylinder head, and the valve members (16) are part of a single valve, operation of which controls the passage of fluid between each inlet port (2) and associated exhaust port (4). <MATH> |
