The appts. is for sterilised material packages for dispersal of condensate which remains inside the package after steam sterilisation and causes prodn. of an excess of heat in the material and in the packaging. On the floor of the package a condensate collection container (16) is either built in or insertable which has a condensate inlet valve (26a) which remains open during the time that a predetermined condition during steam sterilisation is exceeded, allowing condensate to enter. During this condition, the valve closes the collection container against the surrounding atmosphere, thereby preventing the collected condensate from re-evaporation. USE/ADVANTAGE - The dispersal of condensate inside packages of sterilised material after steam sterilisation.
