PURPOSE:To obtain a container compact and reduced in the possible damage thereto in transit by a method wherein a shape memory resin is used for the manufacture of a container and previously made to memorize at a high temperature the shape of the container in use for eating the food and the container is heated by pouring a hot water thereinto to be returned to the memorized shape for eating. CONSTITUTION:A polynorbornene plate is made warm by a warm water having a temperature of 40 deg.C and wound around a stainless steel-made ball to be formed into a container suggestive of a bowl. The container is cooled to room temperature with its shape retained and held down from above by another ball to be kept in shape. They are heat treated for five minutes at a temperature of 150 deg.C to store the shape of the ball and cooled again to room temperature to be formed into containers 1 and 2. A dried rice 3 and a broiled eel are then filled in the containers 1 and 2, respectively, each of the containers 1 and 2 is heated by a dryer to be formed into a compact shape and these two containers are joined together into a one-piece container. To eat the food, a hot water is poured in each of the containers 1 and 2 to return them to the memorized shape, so that they become a bowl. |
