<p>PURPOSE:To eliminate deterioration of the charging characteristic and signal holding characteristic of a TFT due to an increase in gate signal delay time resulting from the large screen and high definition of a TFT-LCD and a drop in effective voltage applied to liquid crystal by specifying the gate signal delay time. CONSTITUTION:When the thin film transistor(TFT)-liquid crystal display(LCD) is increased in screen size and definition, the gate signal delay time becomes long and the drop in the effective voltage applied to the liquid crystal is observed as the temperature gradient of a display along a gate bus line. Therefore, the influence of gate signal delay is accurately evaluated on the large-screen, high-accuracy TFT-LCD and the gate signal delay time is suppressed to <=5mus within a range wherein there is no influence upon display characteristics.</p> |
