<p>PURPOSE:To obtain a connecting device for exhaust pipes of an internal combustion engine testing apparatus with which attaching/removal of an adapter to/ from an exhaust unit of an internal combustion engine can be carried out easily and quickly. CONSTITUTION:A junction 5 for piping is provided on a bench 2, a flexible heat-resistant hose 10 with a base end connected to an exhaust pipe unit 9 provided on the junction is provided, an adapter 15 which can be freely communicated and attached to an exhaust unit 26 of an internal combustion engine 25 is provided at the tip of the heat-resistant hose 10, and a robot 30 which holds the adapter 15 side to have it attached to/separated from the exhaust unit 26 is provided. Connection/separation of the adapter to/from the exhaust unit can be easily and quickly done without touching the adapter by an operator even if a space is small and the adapter is hot.</p> |
