<p>PURPOSE:To identify a control model. showing a rolling phenomenon even though the rolling phenomenon of a continuous rolling mill is nonlinear due to the variance of the plate width, etc., and also to attain the highly precise control of the continuous rolling mill with use of the control model. CONSTITUTION:A single stand model which describes the rolling phenomenon of a single rolling stand consists of a hierarchical neural network which defines a rolling factor as the input and a controlled variable as the output respectively. Then a control model which describes the rolling phenomenon of a continuous rolling mill consists of the single stand models in number equal to the number of stands contained in the continuous rolling machine. A prescribed rolling factor is inputted to a single stand model and the addition value of the output is defined as the output of the control model. Meanwhile the continuous rolling processes are carried out with the same rolling factor so that a difference of controlled variables is obtained between the input and output sides of the continuous rolling mill. Then the learning is carried out for correction of the coupling coefficient secured between the units of the hierarchical neural network. So that the output of the control model is equal to the difference of controlled variable. Thus, the control model is identified.</p> |
