PURPOSE:To make possible the multiple-purpose direct heat treatment of hot rolled wire rod, by arranging different heat treating lines in parallel in prescribed lines at the rear of a coiler so that optional heat treating apparatuses can be selected in combination at need. CONSTITUTION:An air-blast cooling line A and a slow speed cooling line B are installed nearly in parallel between the laying head 1 of a coiler and a conveyor 2 placed in front of a bundling means 3, so that either one of the both lines A or B may be used at need. Rails 14 are laid nearly at right angles to the advancing direction of a wire rod coil, and a shifting truck 16 which reciprocates freely by a shifting hydraulic cylinder is installed on the rails 14, hereby various means constituting two rows of cooling lines A, B are mounted on the truck 16 and are moved. A flexible electric power source is connected to the truck 16 so as to make the feed of electricity to heater, etc. possible. |
