PURPOSE:To unify the operating environments of a hypervisor which controls plural OSs and service processor (SVP) by eliminating discrepancy between the maintenance operations of the hypervisor and SVP by dividing resources. CONSTITUTION:An SVP 20 is provided with a CE key 121. When the key 121 is set to a maintenance operation impossible status, the maintenance operation of the SVP 20 is guarded even when a console device 30 is operated. On the other hand, when maintenance operation is instructed to a hypervisor 111 by operating the device 30, the hypervisor 111 reads the status of the key 121 by making a request to the SVP 20 and executes the maintenance operation only when the key 121 is in a maintenance operation possible status. Therefore, the maintenance operations of the hypervisor 111 and SVP 20 can be unified by using the CE key 121 provided ion the SVP 20. |
