PURPOSE:To freely form a stepping press face corresponding to the face to be ground of a work piece in the stepping press device of a wide belt sander. CONSTITUTION:A stepping press device 25 arranged inside a work piece through an endless sanding belt 23 is constituted so that a pin line consisting of a plurality of stepping press pins and pressurized tubes are alternately arranged in a stepping press frame, and the stepping press face is generated by gathering the extreme ends of a plurality of stepping press pin lines. The stepping press pin lines are converted to the movable position and the holding position by controlling pressure of the pressurized tubes. |
