<p>PURPOSE:To conduct a proper cutoff by cutting off the output immediately after the load is shorted and by cutting off the output with a timer set for the shorter time the smaller the output voltage is when an overload occurs. CONSTITUTION:A three-phase output coil 1 and a single-phase auxiliary coil 2 are wound on a stator of an ac generator to be driven by an engine not shown in the Figure. The output of the coil 1 is rectified by a three-phase bridge rectifier circuit 3, smoothed 4 and is supplied to the load not shown in the Figure through terminals X, Y. Concerning the output of the auxiliary coil 2, a positive and a negative constant voltage are output through terminals E, F. Into a transient control circuit 7, the output of an overcurrent detection circuit and a timer which are not shown in the Figure is inputted through terminals R, Q. The output of the transient control circuit 7 is inputted into a point K of a thyristor control circuit 6 and thereby a thyristor of a rectifier circuit 3 is controlled. At the time of a short, the thyristor is rapidly cut off. When an overload occurs and an output voltage drops, the timer is set for the shorter time the larger a voltage drop is. Consequently, cutoff is conducted properly according to a degree of an overload.</p> |
