PURPOSE: To maintain insulation even when a patient bites at a shaft of a transesophageal probe and makes a through hole. CONSTITUTION: An insulated sleeve 46 is disposed between a stanless steel braided jacket 48 and a metal core 44. Consequently, even when a hole is made on a covering 50 and an electrolytic solution intrudes, an insulating property between electric wires in the sore 44 is maintained by the sleeve 46. Additionally, even when it is bitten at and a hole is made on the covering 50, a tooth cannot intrude to the sleeve 46 as there is the jacket 48. |
