The invention relates to a tray for microwave ovens. It relates to a tray (1) comprising a material (3) which absorbs microwaves. This material may be a conventional material such as a ferrite, carbon, a dielectric material or a mixture of carbon and ferrite, and preferably a material which radiates in the far infrared. The material (3) may be dispersed in a silicone resin which has a high heat resistance then fixed to a conventional tray.
