PURPOSE:To provide an additive which minimizes slag to be produced and is high in fluidity, and which imparts excellent compressive strength to centrifugally molded pieces of mortar or concrete, and also provide a method of manufacturing the centrifugally molded pieces to which the additive is employed. CONSTITUTION:In manufacturing centrifugally molded pieces of mortar or concrete, centrifugal molding is carried out by using mortar or concrete, to which is added an additive for the centrifugal molding of mortar or concrete, the additive being composed of 100 pts.wt. composition containing hydrated iron oxides and 10-1000 pts.wt. highly efficient water-reducing agent.
