PURPOSE:To obtain a toner having superior nonoffset characteristic by using the particles prepd. by the polymerization treatment of the polymer composition comprising by incorporating a polymerizable monomer, a crosslinking agent, a reactive prepolymer and low mol.wt. polyolefin. CONSTITUTION:A crosslinking agent, a reactive prepolymer of polybutadiene or the like, and low mol.wt. polyolefin are mixed, dispersed or dissolved together with a charge control agent and a coloring agent in a polymerizable monomer, whereby a polymer composition is obtained. This polymer composition is subjected to polymerization treatment to cause the crosslinking polymerization of the polymerizable monomer with the crosslinking agent and reactive prepolymer or further the solids obtained in this way are ground, whereby the particles of the grain sizes required as the toner are obtained. The ratio of the crosslinking agent is kept at 0.005-20wt% based on the weight of the polymerizable monomer, and the rate of the reactive prepolymer is kept at 1-40wt%. Thereby, the toner which has superior nonoffset characteristic and by which sufficient fixing is achievable at low temp. is obtained. |
