PURPOSE: To stabilize the quality and to control the consumption of toner by judging actual image forming grain density based on a regulated image forming grain density and adjusting a supplying speed. CONSTITUTION: After measuring a current necessitated for the developing of a standard image, a microcontroller 116 respectively compares a calibration developing current (FDEV) with the threshold value FT of the number of feedbacks to judge whether FDEV is larger or smaller than the threshold value. The threshold value (FT) of feedback is a value taken out from a memory 118 and fixes previously and is the function of desired standard toner density and charging potential given to the standard image. Then when FDEV is larger than a threshold value current (FT) in the case of toner density, a toner repleshing speed is decelerated and when it is smaller, the toner replenishing speed is accelerated to control its average density. |
