AIRTIGHT PANEL INSERTING SYSTEM FOR SPACE FRAME STRUCTURE

PURPOSE: To provide highly airtight panel fitting system useful for closing system such as a living zone model. CONSTITUTION: A seal material 34 is charged to the corner parts of many panels 10 and 11 consists of fitting sheets 15 surrounded by a frame formed by two chevron members 21 and 22, and an elastic edge frame 33 is arranged between the outer chevron members of individual corresponding sheet. A silicon seal material is charged into the residual part of a gap between the edge of the fitting sheet and the chevron members so that a groove formed on the surface of an edge frame 33 makes it possible to detect the leakage of gas from the seal. The panel fitting system is provided with a nearly U-shaped bond breaker 51 covering a part of supporting structure and the silicon seal material 67 is charged between the edge of an adjacent panel and the bond breaker to form substantially airtight seal between the panels.
