The invention concerns a procedure for repairing a groove 10a on the inner surface of a roll which has been worn by the end seal of a suction roll 10 in a paper machine. According to the procedure, a filler material E, which when spread becomes viscous and fluid, is brought to the said groove which has been worn by the suction roll's end seal, and this filler material E is allowed to run to the hole 10b situated in the groove 10a of the suction roll. The filler E, according to the procedure, hardens after spreading, is fixed to groove 10a and locked in position by a connection B between the filler E and the hole 10b. <IMAGE>
