The invention concerns an externally-mounted rotary handle arrangement comprising a frame 1 that can be fixed to a movable wing, for example a window, a door, a shutter or similar, and a rotary handle 4 pivotally mounted therein, to which handle a power-transmission device 3 is firmly connected, this device extending through an opening 7 in the frame and by which the rotary handle 4 can be turned from a position within the frame to a locking position projecting from the frame. The space 6, inside the frame 1, which accommodates the rotary handle 4, is basically open on the side which is mounted against the wing. In this connection, the rotary handle's power-transmission device 3 is so dimensioned that it can be inserted through the said opening 7 before the mounting of the rotary handle unit from the interior of the frame 1, so that the power-transmission device 3 takes up a pivotal position in the frame opening 7 and is thereby fitted therein in a position determined by the rotary handle after mounting. <IMAGE>
